Mr. Riedel is a seasoned business leader with decades of experience in company analysis, valuation, equity research, and business management, with a career deeply rooted in the world’s fastest-growing economies. His early professional years living and working in China and Taiwan during the 1980s, coupled with education and work in Thailand in the 1990s, laid the foundation for his deep expertise in emerging markets.
Building on his BA in Chinese Studies and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA in Finance from the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business at Chulalongkorn University, Mr. Riedel began his career in equity research at Salomon Smith Barney, serving in both Asia and the United States.
In 2003, he founded Riedel Research Group, the first independent equity research service focused on global emerging markets, which quickly became a recognized leader in the field. Since 2005, he has managed a FINRA-registered broker-dealer, now known as ARC Group Securities LLC (“ARC Securities”) where he has overseen operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth, positioning the firm as a trusted partner for growth-focused companies worldwide.
Mr. Riedel is a frequent contributor to leading financial media, including CNBC, Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg, and is the author of Finding the Hot Spots: 10 Strategies for Global Investing (Wiley, 2006).
